• The candidate must have passed the Madhyamik Examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent.

The candidate’s age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 27  years old to apply for WBP Jail Warder Recruitment 2023. The upper age relaxation for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes will be 05 years and for OBC candidates will be 03 years.

WB Police Warders Jail Recruitment 2023 Selection Process

The selection of the candidates for the Warders/Female Warders posts includes the four-stage, the first stage is a Written Examination followed by Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET),  and an Interview. Candidates have to qualify at all stages to get selection for the Warders/Female Warders posts. The West Bengal Police Recruitment Board will prepare a final merit list on the basis of the marks obtained in the Written Examination and the Interview.

WBP Jail Warder Exam Pattern

• The WB Police Warders Examinations consist of Objective type MCQ-based questions.
• The exam contains a total of 90 questions for 90 marks.
• There will be a negative marking for each wrong answer. ¼thmarks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
• The time duration of the exam is 01 hour.
• The WB Police Warders exam will be set in three languages English, Bengali & Nepali.

WB Police Warders Physical Measurement Test (PMT)

The shortlisted candidates in WB Police Warders Written Test will be called for the PMT test. The physical measurement test will be screened for Physical Standards Test (PST) i.e. Height, Chest, and Weight measurements. The candidate’s Weight should be Corresponding to height and age as per medical standards.

WB Police Warders Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

The candidates who qualify for Physical Measurement Test (PMT) will be allowed to take part in Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The PET is qualifying in nature and candidates who complete their long-distance running in the fixed time period will be qualified for the next stage of the selection process i.e. Interview.

• For Warder: Running – 1600 mtrs. (Qualifying time is 06 minutes 30 seconds)
• For Female Warder: Running – 400 mtrs. (Qualifying time is 1 minute 50 seconds)
